about

Millennia ago a rock, battered by winds and rain, fell from the cliff face into a glacier. Through the ages the rock drifted on. The glacier slowly thawed and turned into a river. After thousands of years the rock, broken by the water's power, became stones. The stones travelled down the river sometimes lying for generations in a pool or bend of the river, but their journey would continue. Eventually they came to rest in the calmer waters of the estuary. Journey's end. Slowly the stones will disappear, as the water wears them away, but today they rest in the sand. The river has made them what they are. This is the shape of the stones.
